Major General The Honourable Peter Arnison AC, AO, CVO joins CRC Longevity Advisory Panel
It is with great pleasure that I today announce a new addition to our CRC Longevity Advisory Panel – Major General The Honourable Peter Arnison AC, AO, CVO.
Peter will be a familiar name to all Australians. As a former military commander with over 37 years of distinguished service in the Australian Army, Peter was the Governor of Queensland from 1997-2003, Chancellor of Queensland University of Technology from 2004-2012, and has Chaired numerous Government and commercial boards and task forces.
It is evident that Peter will bring significant experience to the CRC Longevity Advisory Panel. But more than this, Peter brings a passion for and commitment to improving the opportunities for all Australians aged over 65 to continue to be productive, valuable members of our society.
Together with myself, Peter joins The Hon. Philip Ruddock and Professor Vicki Sara AO as members of the panel. We will act in an Advisory Board role to the CRC Longevity leadership team, providing input and guidance at critical points through the life of the CRC.
On behalf of Philip, Vicki, CRC Longevity Chair Kathryn Greiner, Interim CEO David Barbagallo, Research Director Professor Laurie Buys, the leadership team, industry partners and research team, I warmly welcome Peter to the team and look forward to his contribution.
